At Ashford, cheap quality is not an option, and this wheel took a long time to come up with, to satisfy our standards for high quality.  Much research went into developing this product, with an evenly dense and straight, pressed and machined, wood particle wheel.  The result is a wonderful wheel at a price you can afford.  A wheel you can truly be proud of, where the wheel is made from solid Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) with a New Zealand silver beech frame.

This double treadle makes the wheel truly easy to start and leaves your hands free for spinning.

This wheel is a scotch tension bobbin arrangement.
