Terrific Shoulder Shawl
This shawl is great to use for an accent to your outfit or on a cool evening to keep you warm. It is a great beginner pattern, because it will challenge you just a little and push you to learn a couple of new techniques. However, because it is done on large needles, you will see it grow quickly!
Materials
-Yarn: Bulky weight yarn. Sample used 10.2 oz of wool/ 300 - 425 yards. You can use any bulky yarn, I used my handspun.
-Needles: US 13 (9 mm) circular needle.
Column Shawl
This shawl is a rectangle in shape. You will cast on along the short edge and then work back and forth, until the shawl is the length called for in the pattern. It works up quickly.
Materials
Size 11 US knitting needles; 390 yards bulky yarn; stitch markers; tapestry needle and row counter.
